We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager with expertise in the transportation and logistics sector. This position involves leading key accounting processes, ensuring financial accuracy, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate excels in managing deadlines, supervising staff, and optimizing workflows to support organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Manage general ledger activities, ensuring proper classification of revenue, expenses, and assets.
• Collaborate with operations teams to validate freight, fuel, and logistics cost allocations.
• Analyze financial results, generating detailed reports for management and stakeholders.
• Enhance accounting processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, internal controls, and industry regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering growth and development.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and performing variance analyses to support financial planning.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong understanding of transportation and logistics accounting practices, including cost allocation and fleet operations.
• Proven experience managing month-end close processes and preparing financial reports.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational abilities.
• Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments.
