We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee critical financial operations and ensure accuracy in all accounting functions. This role, based in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, will involve managing various aspects of accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, costing, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in manufacturing accounting and a strong ability to analyze financial trends and provide actionable insights.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting operations, including tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, and month-end closing activities.
- Facilitate intercompany transactions across multiple divisions or entities to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting.
- Reconcile inventory accounts, oversee cost management systems, and address inventory variances.
- Apply a solid understanding of industry-specific accounting practices to support operational activities.
- Perform reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, verifying account balances for accuracy and compliance.
- Support financial reporting efforts by analyzing key metrics and tracking overall performance.
- Prepare and review journal entries to maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger.
- Assist with external audits by providing necessary financial documentation and support.
