Job Description Part-Time Accounting Professional (In-House – Real Estate Development) Location: In-House – Real Estate Development Schedule: 20 Hours per Week (Permanent Part-Time) We are not interested in outsourcing our books. Position Overview We are seeking a proactive and highly competent accounting professional to support our Accounting Manager in overseeing the financial management of multiple real estate development projects and affiliated entities. This is a permanent, part-time, in-house position (approximately 20 hours per week). The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate development accounting, partnership accounting, QuickBooks Desktop, and multi-entity financial management. This role requires someone who can step in quickly, operate independently, follow direction precisely, and maintain a high level of accuracy and accountability. You will assist the Accounting Manager with: Monthly reconciliations for over a dozen development projects and affiliated entities Monitoring and processing invoices across all active projects Accurate and timely data entry Tracking and managing key accounting deadlines Monitoring partnership bank accounts to confirm receipt of capital contributions and following up on outstanding funds Reviewing and analyzing monthly financial statements from the outsourced property management company to ensure proper expense classification and budget adherence Comparing actual performance to approved budgets Supporting various additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed Professional Expectations Be highly motivated and self-directed Demonstrate strong organizational and detail-oriented skills Take extreme ownership of assigned responsibilities Learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced development environment Remain humble, teachable, and team-oriented Work effectively under pressure Preferred skills: Book Keeping Experience and QuickBooks Desktop Compensation This position will have an hourly rate of $30 per hour.
