Job Title: Accounting Specialist

Job Brief:

We are searching for a motivated Accounting Specialist who is an excellent multitasker with exceptional communication and time management skills. You will be reporting to and primarily supporting the Advisor Compensation Manager and secondarily supporting the Financial Controller. You can expect to assist with data entry, processing, data validation, ad-hoc internal audits and transaction reporting. You should be thorough, accurate, and honest with a strong accounting background.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with firm-wide client account billing process.
  • Assist with payroll processing.
  • Assist and support firm level accounts payable process.
  • Assist with preparation of financial statements and billing reports.
  • Analyze financial information in order to identify discrepancies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial information/data.
  • Compile and prepare routine reports, summaries, and variance analysis.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Two to Four years of relevant, hands-on accounting experience
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to independently prioritize daily workload.
  • Demonstrate an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer software/systems to perform duties.
  • Highly proficient with MS Excel is a requirement.
  • Uphold a strict level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Preferred interest/knowledge/experience in financial planning/wealth management
  • College degree in accounting is preferred.
  • Orion Experience a Must.
