Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist with strong expertise in financial reporting, month-end close processes, and compliance oversight. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting principles, financial controls, and team leadership, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and post journal entries, including manual journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Oversee the month-end close process and deliver accurate results on time.

  • Manage quarter-end and year-end reporting, including disclosure reporting (Webforms) and rep letter processes.

  • Conduct balance sheet and P&L flux reviews, as well as EAC change-in-estimate reviews.

  • Prepare for year-end close and oversee inventory year-end physical counts.

  • Handle account reconciliations and ensure proper documentation.

  • Review contract review worksheets/mod worksheets for revenue purposes.

  • Collaborate with the ICFR team on SOX compliance and provide support for audits.

  • Manage AR processes, including AR aging, cash collections, and AP processes such as AP aging, supplier impact, and potential holds.

  • Understand and support sales and use tax submissions for corporate filings.

  • Provide oversight and support for government-related accounting issues or concerns.

  • Assist with rate impact analysis and other miscellaneous accounting tasks as needed.

  • Lead and mentor team members, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).

  • Experience: 8 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including personnel management.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.

  • Proficiency in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

  • Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
