Overview ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST, OFFICE OF ACCOUNTING, BUDGET & COMPLIANCE The successful applicant must possess an Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience to meet these qualifications. Minimum 3-5 years of progressively responsible accounting, financial reconciliation, or ledger management experience. Accounting and banking knowledge preferred. Governmental or Tribal accounting experience preferred. Operation of computers, specializing in Excel spreadsheets, a variety of office equipment, etc. Financial knowledge and proofreading skills; exceptional spreadsheet knowledge; ability to follow oral and written instructions; to communicate with other staff members; maintain confidentiality, and learn quickly. A valid State drivers License is required. Enrolled CSKT members, please submit a copy of Tribal Identification Card; First Generation Descendants, please submit evidence (may be obtained by the Enrollment Department); Members of another Federally recognized Tribe, please submit a copy of Tribal Identification Card. If you are not an enrolled Tribal member, documentation is not needed. If you claimed Veterans preference, a copy of DD214 must be submitted. Failure to submit the above information may result in immediate disqualification during the screening process. This position is not a Testing Designated Position (TDP) within the definition of the CSKT Drug Testing policy. The successful applicant, if not already employed by the Tribes, must pass a pre-hire drug test and serve a mandatory six (6) month probationary period.
