Overview ACCOUNTS PAYABLE & PURCHASING SPECIALIST – Purchasing and Accounts Payable Department. Full Time (2 positions available). Primary Responsibilities Processes campus fixed assets forms, maintains fixed assets records, and conducts campus annual inventory reporting Reviews vendor invoices and payment vouchers for compliance and data entry into automated system Processes purchase requisitions and utilizes automated system to produce and process purchase orders Assists with Purchasing Card program processing Organizes and maintains electronic and paper documentation and files Communicates with University departments and vendors concerning inquiries and discrepancies Answers phone calls, responds to email messages, and processes checks and mail Provides general clerical support and assistance on other projects for the department High school diploma or GED Demonstrated experience with web-based applications, preferably purchasing or accounting system Excellent Microsoft Office skills Demonstrated evidence of math skills and the ability to analyze and reconcile data Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Ability to work independently and cooperatively with minimal supervision Ability to work in a team environment Excellent organizational and time-management skills Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to customer service Application Deadline The positions are available immediately and will remain open until filled.
