Accounts Payable Clerk Apply
Description BRT, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance team. This full-time, hourly position reports to the Accounting Manager and offers a hybrid work schedule after the successful completion of the probationary period. The role ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions while supporting the integrity of the company’s financial reporting and internal controls. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable & Disbursements Process and post vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner Prepare and process payments while monitoring cash balances Administer company purchase credit card accounts Process employee expense reimbursements Maintain organized accounts payable records and documentation Accounts Receivable & Banking Support Post customer payments and apply credits when needed Monitor and review aging reports Process daily deposits using express deposit functions Provide deposit and disbursement details to cash management personnel Cash & Loan Administration Coordinate cash deposits, ACH transfers, and disbursements Manage and reconcile the petty cash drawer monthly Perform quarterly loan statement reconciliations Coordinate and record loan payment processing Financial Reporting Support Assist the Accounting Manager with general ledger close processes Maintain financial and equipment documentation Provide administrative and cross‑functional support within the finance department Support additional financial duties as assigned by leadership Work Schedule & Environment Full‑time, hourly position Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office / 2 days remote (after probationary period) Typical hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Primarily a desk‑based role working on a computer Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Opportunities for career advancement within the company Ongoing training and professional development opportunities 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Requirements Knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and banking procedures Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time management skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Analytical mindset with problem‑solving abilities Ability to work collaboratively within a finance team Education & Experience Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred Minimum 2 years of related accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) Ability to learn and adapt to new software systems Equal Opportunity Employer BRT, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
