Job Description
SUMMARY
Act as Accounts Payable liaison with all appropriate store personnel while performing and processing analytical functions related to accounts payable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide timely, accurate, and useful customer service to internal and external customers
- Review receiver mail and separate invoices for processing
- Review all locally scanned invoices and make changes in the Oracle Accounts Payable system as needed
- Analyze bills to ensure accuracy, making corrections as appropriate
- Act as a liaison with SFS, receivers and store management in handling billing issues
- Accrue product invoices to ensure purchases are charged to the proper accounting period
- Process invoices into the Oracle Accounts Payable system
- Review and assign accounting codes to utility, product and miscellaneous invoices
- Enter monthly, recurring invoices into Oracle (i.e. car payments, rents, insurance, etc.)
- Generate Invoices where required
- Reconcile vendor statements, resolving discrepancies timely
- Apply payment information for wires and manual checks
- Verify and process accurate vendor fines
- Initiate new vendor set ups in the Oracle Accounts Payable system
- Possess the ability to work with various levels of Microsoft Excel, Oracle and Microsoft Access
- File and answer phones as needed
- Completion of special projects and other duties assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, interpret and write business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Must possess the appropriate level of computer skills to succeed in a technical business environment. Ability to create and develop the reporting required by management through a timely, efficient and accurate process.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
