Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing financial transactions related to accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial software, and data entry accuracy to support the organization’s financial health and reporting needs.
Requirements:- Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and payments using various accounting software such as Netsuite, Quickbooks, etc..
- Manage accounts receivable activities including billing, collections, and customer account reconciliation. This will be done by email, statement sending, and calling by phone on a daily basis.
- Handle accounts payable functions including invoice coding, approval workflows, and vendor payments.
- Perform journal entries and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
- Assist with month-end closing processes and prepare financial reports related to payables and receivables.
- Support benefits administration, payroll management, and HRIS data entry as needed.
- Conduct analysis of accounts to identify discrepancies or errors and resolve issues promptly.
- Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate smooth financial operations and audit readiness.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, and Netsuite.
- Familiarity with payroll management systems
- Ability to perform data entry accurately with 10 key typing skills.
- Excellent analysis skills for financial data interpretation and problem-solving.
- Strong understanding of tax regulations related to payroll and accounts receivable/payable processes.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration across departments including human resources and finance teams.
