Accounts Payable SpecialistAn established and growing company in Vergennes, VT is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a long-term contract assignment, with the possibility of permanent employment. This is a fully on-site position, Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. Responsibilities include processing a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, verifying, coding, and entering invoices into the accounting system, matching invoices to purchase orders and receipts, resolving discrepancies with vendors and internal departments, preparing and processing electronic payments, checks, and ACH transactions, maintaining vendor records and performing regular account reconciliations, responding promptly to inquiries regarding accounts payable, assisting with month-end closing and related reporting, and supporting ad-hoc projects and contributing to process improvement.Requirements include previous experience in accounts payable or general accounting preferred, familiarity with standard accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel in particular), high attention to detail and capacity to work independently, strong communication and organizational skills, ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a team-oriented environment, and must be able to work permanent on-site.If you are looking for your next opportunity and meet the qualifications above, we encourage you to apply today!
