Position Title: Accounts Payable (AP) Supervisor

Reports To: Director of Accounting

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Supervision: Guide and mentor accounts payable associates, perform annual reviews, and foster professional growth.
  • Accuracy & Efficiency: Maintain precise records, ensure timely completion of tasks, and oversee routine department activities.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with management to hire and train new team members, and respond to staff requests promptly.
  • Financial Management: Review vendor invoices, authorize payments, reconcile AP subledger and General Ledger balances, and handle agency purchasing.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with internal controls, prepare vendor 1099s, and conduct trainings for financial software.

  • Knowledge: Thorough understanding of accounts payable and general accounting procedures, familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
  • Physical Demands: Capable of performing tasks that involve frequent standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
