Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional with strong supervisory skills? Key Staffing is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead the AP department for a client in Hanford, CA. In this role, the successful candidate will oversee a team of three AP specialists, manage critical deadlines, and ensure accuracy in AP processes. With a current average of 200+ payments and 470+ invoices processed weekly, this role is pivotal in maintaining financial efficiency across multiple companies within the client's organization. Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily audits of General Ledger (GL) coding to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Analyze and report on expense data to support financial decision-making.
- Train and mentor AP staff, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills needed to perform their roles effectively.
- Develop and maintain process documentation to standardize procedures and enhance efficiency.
- Review accounts payable aging reports to manage and resolve outstanding payments.
- Perform reconciliation of vendor accounts and troubleshoot discrepancies.
- Prepare annual 1099 forms in compliance with IRS regulations.
- Oversee the preparation of month-end accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Conduct quarterly reviews of personnel performance, set goals, and develop action plans.
- Undertake special projects and ad-hoc analysis as required to support departmental and organizational objectives.
- Handle AP and payments for the Holding company, managing an average of <10 invoices a week.
Qualifications:
- A 4-year degree is a plus but not required.
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable.
- Demonstrated commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work; ability to manage multiple tasks with a sense of urgency.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
- Knowledge of Accounts Payable internal controls and best practices.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a solid understanding of technology to enhance efficiency.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator with the ability to clearly convey information and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
