Accounts Receivable AssociateThe Accounts Receivable Associate is responsible for the collection of the open AR and researching chargebacks daily. This position supports the Wholesale business.The responsibilities described below are considered essential functions of the role. This position is based in our LIC office and requires working on-site five days per week.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in month closing by ensuring all appropriate information is entered into computer, and reviewing and updating current aging report for discrepancies and finance chargesResearch and respond to all accounts receivable inquiries in a prompt manner;Review/verify payment deductionUnderstanding research on ChargebacksProcess credit memoResearch credit applications, when appropriate, notify customers of approval/disapproval status; document pertinent credit information in accordance with company procedures;Daily research of unapplied & unidentified paymentsRespond to customer inquiriesWork with inter-departments to obtain necessary documents for CB'sAssist Department Manager/Director on special projectsMonthly/Quarterly reporting on past dues invoices & CB'sAble to manage multiple projects and deadlines with support and resources as neededPerform other duties and special projects as assignedRequired QualificationsHS Diploma or equivalent experienceCollege Degree in Accounting is a plusMinimum of 2 years Accounts Receivable experiencePrior Wholesale experience1-2 years collection / charge back experienceAS400 experience is a plusProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.The expected base salary for this position ranges from $24.00 - $26.00/hr. Ranges are based on various factors such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure. In addition to the base salary, Steve Madden offers a competitive benefits package that includes health and dental insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, 401K, paid holidays, a generous paid time-off policy, and career opportunities within a dynamic team.
