We're looking for an Accounts Receivable (Revenue Cycle) Manager who can bring expertise, energy, and leadership to our multi‑specialty healthcare organization-including Clinic, Therapy, and Surgery Center operations. In this critical leadership role, you'll oversee daily AR operations, drive performance on key revenue cycle metrics, partner across departments, and play a major part in optimizing financial outcomes for the organization. What You'll Do Lead all Accounts Receivable activities: insurance follow-up, denial management, appeals, payment posting, and patient collections Monitor, analyze, and improve revenue cycle KPIs (Days in A/R, aging, denial rates, net collection rate) Drive denial reduction initiatives through root cause analysis and collaboration across teams Identify payer trends, underpayments, and revenue opportunities Ensure timely, accurate claim resolution and compliance with payer rules and regulations Oversee credit balances, refunds, and write-offs with strict accuracy Develop performance dashboards and reporting for leadership Collaborate with Coding, Patient Access, Authorizations, Finance, and clinical teams to eliminate reimbursement barriers Champion workflow improvements, automation, and system enhancements Leadership Matters Lead and mentor a skilled team of AR Specialists, Payment Posters, Collections staff, and Leads Set clear productivity expectations and ensure timely follow-up Hire, train, and grow top talent Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement Communicate goals, performance updates, and operational changes through regular team meetings Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required (Master's preferred) Preferred certifications (AAPC, CPC, CPB, HFMA, CRCR, CHFP, etc.) Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive revenue cycle or AR experience-multi-site or multi-specialty healthcare preferred Experience leading AR, collections, or payment posting teams Proven track record managing AR KPIs and driving cash acceleration Strong understanding of payer rules, reimbursement methodologies, CPT/ICD‑10/HCPCS coding, NCCI edits, global periods, therapy & imaging billing Orthopedic or ASC experience strongly preferred Proficiency with EHR/Practice Management systems, reporting, and dashboard analytics Qualifications Minimum 5 years of revenue cycle leadership with AR or denial management focus required Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills Expertise in denial prevention and clean claim optimization Ability to identify workflow inefficiencies and implement automation Excellent communication and stakeholder management (including physician leadership) Able to navigate multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Valid driver's license; travel to all practice locations as needed Why You\'ll Love Working With Us A collaborative team dedicated to excellence Opportunities for innovation, automation, and meaningful workflow redesign Leadership support and partnership across the entire revenue cycle ABOUT BONE & JOINT Bone and Joint has one of the most comprehensive teams of orthopedic, pain management, podiatric, physical and occupational therapy experts in Northcentral Wisconsin.
