Job Title: Accounts Receivable Officer

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 + super (depending on experience)

Location: Newcastle, NSW


We're looking for a dedicated Accounts Receivable Officer to join our dynamic team. As an integral part of the finance department, you'll play a key role in managing and optimizing the accounts receivable processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and issue accurate and timely customer invoices.
  • Ensure all billing transactions are in compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Monitor and track customer payments, applying them to the appropriate accounts.
  • Work closely with customers to resolve payment discrepancies and ensure timely collections.
  • Assess customer creditworthiness and establish credit limits.
  • Implement and enforce credit control policies to minimize outstanding balances.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams to obtain necessary information for invoicing and collections.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing and payment matters in a professional and timely manner.
  • Generate and analyse accounts receivable reports to provide insights into financial performance.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end financial reporting processes.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Officer or similar role.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with accounting software.
