Position: Accounting Assistant/Human Resource Assistant This dual‑role position provides essential administrative and operational support to both the finance and human resources departments. The ideal candidate manages sensitive financial data and confidential employee information with strict discretion. Key duties and responsibilities: Assist in the operation of the Mettler US accounting department. Process accounts payable and receivable, handle payments and deposits, and perform account reconciliations. General Ledger: posting journal entries and reconciling accounts. Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and financial regulations; help develop internal controls. Support/assist the Accounting Manager with internal and external audits. Provide financial reporting as necessary. Provide backup for the Accounting Manager and the HR Manager (payroll processing and benefits administration) during absences. Willing to answer phones when needed, assist visitors and employees on occasion, and perform other clerical duties as requested. Your profile: Associate degree required / bachelor’s degree preferred in Accounting/Business. Experience in administrative, accounting, or HR support roles. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask efficiently. Excellent oral and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders. Advanced computer skills, including MS‑Office, and the ability to learn about the company's ERP system.
