Job DescriptionBase-2 Solutions is seeking an Active Directory Systems Engineer. The ideal candidate is personable, articulate, has a keen eye for detail, with a focus on making sure the customers’ requirements and needs are met quickly and effectively. Solutions should adhere to best practices, reference frameworks, regulations, and guidelines. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can work with limited supervision. Excellent communication skills are required to effectively interface with customers to understand requirements and customer needs and then be able to translate them into actions.Job DutiesProvide systems administration and engineering support for advanced system development across the customer’s enterprise Develop system design solution that satisfies the system requirements and fulfills the functional analysis Assist with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components Enterprise-level experience in optimizing Active Directory Services infrastructure and hierarchy Support the planning and test analysis of authentication and authorization of appropriate systems Support interface definition, design, and changes to the configuration between affected groups and individuals (full lifecycle) From system requirements derive an understanding of stakeholder needs, functions that may be logically inferred and implied as essential to system effectivenessDevelop derived requirements for Information Assurance Services (Confidentiality, Integrity, Nonrepudiation, and Availability); Basic Information Assurance Mechanisms (e.g., Identification, Authentication, Access Control, Accountability); and Security Mechanism Technology (Passwords, cryptography, discretionary access control, mandatory access control, hashing, key management, etc.). Support and contribute to the development of systems engineering documentation (i.e., system engineering plans, initial capabilities documents, requirements specifications, and interface control documents) Review and/or approve system engineering documentation ensuring processes and specifications meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, and completeRequired QualificationsSecurity Clearance Required: TS/SCI w/CI PolyBachelor’s Degree: System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline. High school diploma with additional years’ experience may be considered in lieu of degreeMinimum 5 years’ Experience: Active Directory (2016, 2019, 2022 and latest version)Minimum 5 years’ experience: Optimizing Active Directory Services infrastructure and hierarchyWorking knowledge of virtualization techniques and technologies (VMware, HyperV)Strong knowledge of SIPR, NIPR & PKIsStrong knowledge of data structure and system designAn ability to communicate technical ideas, critiques, and concerns clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing in a format the customer can understandExcellent interpersonal skills working in a team environment and attention to detailAbility to work independently, as well as collaboratively, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentProven track record of delivering high quality and consistent systems and environments for development teams Pay & Benefit Highlights Compensation Above market fixed salary or hourly pay.
