Adjunct Instructor, Architectural Technology

Durham Technical Community College is hiring an adjunct instructor in the Architectural Technology Program. Instructor will deliver lessons dealing with residential construction assemblies and processes. Heavy emphasis will be placed on creating lessons and projects utilizing BIM software. Prepare and deliver lessons in an organized manner. Keep organized and detailed attendance records. Prepare quizzes and exams and convey clear grading procedures. Evaluate and grade assignments, quizzes, and exams. Complete all mandatory training. Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree or higher in Architectural Technology, or a related field in Engineering, or Construction is required. Work Experience Employed minimum 2 years working with Revit in a professional architectural environment is required. Evidence of strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and effective oral and written communication/public relation skills. Excellent problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to think creatively and put ideas into action. Ability to make presentations to large audiences. Excellent computer skills and competence with Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word. Personal integrity, honesty, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Understanding of the mission, goals, and objectives of a community college.
