Administrative Support Provides administrative support to a department or individual. Duties may include word processing, filing, faxing, answering phones, receiving and directing visitors, scheduling, financial record keeping, coordinating meetings and conferences, obtaining supplies and sorting/distributing mail, compiling and assembling information, creating and modifying reports, and composing basic correspondence. May work on special projects Must be able to multi-task and prioritize. Strong organizational skills are essential. Strong communication skills over the phone, via email, and in person are required. Ability to handle routine situations with minimal direction regarding tasks to be performed/ Ability to work under deadline pressure and ability to work independently required. Experience with MS Office required. The individual will support Xcel Energy's interconnection process for rooftop solar, particularly handling applications, managing the interconnection agreement signing, prioritizing tasks within engineering queues, and coordinating with internal engineering teams. The role also includes communicating with customers, managing contract execution, and maintaining Microsoft spreadsheets for tracking. The day starts by reviewing new application emails, verifying documentation for completeness, coordinating contracts, attending meetings with internal/external engineering groups, updating tracking spreadsheets, and responding to customer inquiries. The work is shared with a project coordinator and includes both individual and collaborative tasks. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize and schedule tasks
