    Administrative Assistant III - High School Office Manager
    Anticipated start date: August 4, 2024
    Monday - Friday: 7:00am - 3:30pm
    Weekly working hours: 40
    Wage: $ 30.77 - $ 34.27 per hour (2023/24 SVAPA Salary Schedule 2024/25 TBD)

    Position Summary: Under general direction from the Principal of the school, assists Administration with paper work, and detailed clerical work so that they may devote maximum attention to the central effort of education and educational administration in the school; serves as receptionist for the Principal in receiving visitors and communicates on their behalf in frequent contacts with staff, students, and the public. This position is the main contact for all staff and works with facilities to oversee all building functions.

    Qualifications Required: A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
    • High School Diploma/GED.
    • Two or more years of applicable office experience.
    • First Aid/CPR certificate, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Detail oriented; possess strong initiative and excellent organizational skills.
    • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication in the English language, including correct grammar and spelling usage.
    • Legally eligible to work for any employer in the United States of America as verified by Form I-9.
    • Successful Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint clearance.

    • Insurance: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, basic life insurance, and accidental death and dismemberment insurance if the assignment is anticipated to work at least 630 hours per year.*
    • Retirement Plans: This position is eligible for an IRA through WA Department of Retirement Services and a 403(b) TSA Retirement Savings Plan.
    • Paid Holidays: This position is eligible for up to 12 paid holidays per year. The number of holidays depends on employee's start and end dates.
    • Paid Time Off: Employees working less than 12 months per year earn 7 days' worth of vacation pay per year and accrue 1 day of sick leave per month. Up to 3 days of personal leave may be granted each school year. Vacation and sick leave are based on scheduled hours and position start date.

    • Snoqualmie Valley School District benefits are administered by the Washington State Healthcare Authority (HCA) under the School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB). Eligibility for benefits is determined by the number of hours employees are anticipated to work during the school year (September 1 through August 31). Any employee who is scheduled to work 630 hours or more for SVSD in a school year, including substitute work, is eligible for benefits. Eligibility will be re-established at the start of each school year.
