Summary:
The Tennessee Department of Health seeks an Administrative Services Assistant for the Perinatal Infant and Pediatric Care section, focusing on the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (CLPPP). - Work Mode: Hybrid work (Average in-person attendance in Nashville is anticipated quarterly)
Responsibilities:
- Assist CLPPP Case Management nurses with follow-up for children with elevated blood lead levels, including preparing letters for parents and providers.
- Enter follow-up documentation and referrals into the LeadTRK database.
- Manage program purchase orders, vendor payments, and supply reorders.
- Prepare and process travel requests, meeting materials, grant applications, and required reports.
- Track expenses, monitor contracts, and assist with budget preparation and revisions.
- Conduct contract monitoring and ensure accuracy of invoices and payments.
- Organize administrative meetings and trainings and provide ongoing program support.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management tools.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, contracts, and invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in administrative systems or databases (e.g., LeadTRK, Edison) is a plus
