Secretary IIISecretary III is responsible for recording and transmitting messages, keeping records of calls placed, providing information to callers and visitors, making appointments, keeping a log of visitors, and will include traditional secretarial responsibilities.Essential Functions of the PositionPerforms traditional secretarial responsibilitiesServe as the initial point of contact for customers seeking HHG and Travel assistanceRelaying incoming, outgoing, calls, directs callers to requested counselorRecording and transmitting messages; keeping records of calls placed; providing information to callers and visitorsHandling incoming and outgoing mail, ensure that documents are reviewed before it is processed by the assigned counselor.Schedule appointments and brief customers regarding Travel PCS EntitlementsPerform general clerical duties included but not limited to filing, report preparation, and other relevant duties as assigned by supervisor.Maintains log of all personnel entering or leaving transportation officeSupervisory ResponsibilitiesNo direct supervisory responsibilities.Physical DemandsRequired to walk, stand, sit and move about the property for long periods of time.Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Work EnvironmentIndoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.Noise level can range from minimal to intenseMinimum QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED, and a minimum of six months of related work experience.Basic understanding of military PCS travel.Must be able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc).Strong written and verbal communication skills.Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.Possess a Valid Drivers' License.Security Requirements:Must be a US Citizen.Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background CheckThis is your primary position.
