Primary Responsibilities The Business Systems Administrator is accountable for the stability, usability, and functional performance of Trademark Transportation’s systems. This role supports daily operations by managing user access, system configurations, and testing processes, while partnering with stakeholders to ensure systems support efficient, compliant, and scalable workflows. Essential Functions DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as the functional subject matter expert for the company’s core business systems, including the TMS, accounting platforms, and proprietary applications. Configure system settings, workflows, business rules, and parameters to align with operational requirements. Monitor system health from a functional perspective, identifying issues related to configuration, permissions, or process flow. Create, manage, and maintain user accounts, roles, permissions, and access levels across all supported platforms. Own functional testing of system updates, enhancements, workflows, and configurations. Translate operational requirements into system configurations and functional solutions. Identify gaps between system capabilities and business needs, proposing configuration-based solutions when possible. Diagnose, troubleshoot, elevate, and repair functional system issues. Continuously evaluate system usage to identify inefficiencies or improvement opportunities to drive improved usability, automation, and scalability. Document changes, test results, and approvals. Other duties and projects as assigned. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision. High degree of ownership and accountability. Strong experience administering business-critical applications (e.g., TMS, ERP, accounting systems, or similar enterprise platforms). Ability to configure workflows, business rules, system parameters, and user settings. Understanding of how system configuration supports real-world operational processes. Strong troubleshooting and issue-resolution skills for functional system problems. Ability to assess system capabilities and limitations and design configuration-based solutions. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience. 2+ years of experience administering, configuring, or supporting business-critical enterprise applications within a logistics, transportation, 3PL/4PL, or supply chain environment (e.g., TMS, ERP, accounting systems, or similar platforms). Demonstrated experience configuring workflows, business rules, system parameters, and user settings to support operational processes. Proven experience serving as a functional subject matter expert (SME) for at least one core system. Hands-on experience translating business or operational requirements into system configurations and functional solutions. Strong background in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving functional system issues related to configuration, permissions, workflows, or data flow. Experience managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
