AdministratorThe administrator will act as the face of the location and the company by offering the highest level of customer service and hospitality to visitors, clients, and the community, both in person and on the phone. Provides administrative support to a funeral home, cemetery, crematory, or a combination of these facilities. Assists with special projects, research, and resolving problems. Schedules meetings, drafts memos, transcribes notes, creates presentations, generates reports, and prepares and monitors invoices and expenses.Essential Functions and CompetenciesEnters contract details into information system and maintains other related documentsOrders and checks memorial to ensure accuracyProcesses annual funeral home and cemetery license renewalsCodes and scans invoicesProcesses accounts payable and other accounting support transactionsReceives incoming telephone calls and assist callers with any questions or comments, direct calls to appropriate team membersFiles and maintains customer informationMaintains office and facility supplies as well as fax machines, copiers, and network printersGood written and verbal communication skills are needed for interactions with grieving families, co-workers, and other stakeholders to generate accurate and timely responses to questions and requests in a calm, professional mannerCollaborates easily with co-workers, keeps shared information up to date, and works well independentlyCommunicates in a timely and effective manner with managementExcellent attention to detail while simultaneously handling a range of time sensitive tasksRequired Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or EquivalentTwo (2) years of administrative support experienceProficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPointPrior work experience in bookkeeping or accounting is helpful, but not requiredEqual employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, ancestry, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, age, disability, gender identity, results of genetic testing, veterans and/or any other status or condition protected by law, except where a bona fide occupational qualification exists.
