Pavilion of Bridgeview is seeking an Administrator to join their team! The Administrator acts as the director of the facility and representative in the community and is ultimately responsible for overall facility management, profitability, patient care and business decisions in all aspects related to operations. This position requires excellent skills in time and stress management, must be calm, patient and of professional demeanor and have a deep understanding of both the clinical and business aspect of running a long-term care nursing facility. Administrator Duties and Responsibilities: First and most important responsibility as a leader is to guide and develop your direct reports, modeling leadership and professionalism. Manages the day-to-day operations of the facility and keeps the organization on track for its long-term goals and assigned budgets. Participates in development of facility annual budget, manages the day-to-day operations of the facility and keeps the organization on track for its long-term goals and assigned budgets. Accountable for census development, management of accounts receivable and collections, maximization of Net Operating Income, resident/patient care, state and federal survey compliance, positive employee relations, low employee turnover, a positive return on investment, an effective business plan and implementation of core programs. Coordinates with clinical and nursing department staff to ensure resident’s individual care plans are being followed. Ensures facility operates in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Annually develops and implements a sound business plan that results in provision of quality care and a maximum return on investment. Reviews business plan with department heads at least quarterly to ensure that goals are attained and each is managing within the budget. Oversees the placement of prospective residents to ensure that residents’ physical, mental and psychosocial needs are met by the facility and who meet the financial requirements. Reviews reports and oversees the collection of Accounts Receivable by the Business Office Manager. Ensures an effective Performance Improvement (QAPI) process is in place to identify and resolve facility problems. Receives and handles employee complaints, involving the HR designee. Enforces facility policies and issues Coaching and Corrective Action as needed. Reviews and approves facility payroll and time records. Reassigns employees from one area to another as facility needs dictate to ensure quality service and staffing requirements are met. Responsible for overall resident satisfaction, reviewing resident surveys to ensure that the facility is meeting customer expectations. Reviews lost days to ensure facility safety programs and claims management is effective. Enforces and follows all federal, state and company reporting requirements. All other duties, as assigned. Administrator Skills and Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal and team development skills. Ability to multi-task and remain calm under stress. Analytical and problem-solving skills. The ability to understand process development and improvement. Be able to effectively communicate with a diverse range of audiences and settings: properly handle emotional situations, manage resources to accomplish resident care objectives, assess operational, staffing, and fiscal needs, analyze complex written documents, and work long and irregular hours. Possess excellent management skills including the delegation of responsibility to subordinates. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Demonstrate basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications. Microsoft Office Suite: MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel, E-mail, Outlook, Internet Explorer. Administrator Education and Experience: Licensed Nursing Home Administrator by the state in which the facility is located. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Master’s degree preferred. Prior experience as a leader in a Skilled Nursing Facility required. Physical Requirements: Must be able to adapt to a flexible work schedule. Must be available up to 24 hours a day for on-call/emergencies support. Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices is required. Limited potential for exposure to environmental hazards. Understanding and adherence to company safety standards and protocols required.
