Job Summary The Administrator provides operational, clinical, and regulatory leadership across Plymouth Place Management Services, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, compliant, and financially sustainable healthcare services across supported communities and programs. This role is responsible for interpreting regulatory requirements, establishing system‑wide policies and procedures, and driving consistency, performance, and excellence in health center operations. Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities Employee will apply skills to ensure Person Centered Care as exhibited through our Pillars of Excellence: PEOPLE STEWARDSHIP SERVICE QUALITY GROWTH Provide leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for assigned health center operations, ensuring effective 24/7 clinical service delivery. Interpret federal, state, and accreditation standards to develop, implement, and maintain system‑wide policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and licensing regulations, including IDPH, OBRA, and accreditation requirements. Partner with operational and clinical leaders to establish and maintain appropriate nurse staffing models and workforce strategies. Support the mission, vision, and values of Plymouth Place through strong clinical outcomes and fiscal accountability. Develop and promote a customer‑focused culture centered on high‑quality, cost‑effective care and service excellence. Lead the development, communication, and consistent application of policies and procedures at assigned communities. Participate in budget development and provide oversight to ensure financial performance aligns with organizational goals (if applicable). Oversee recruitment, development, and retention of qualified leadership staff across assigned service lines. Monitor staffing efficiency, including scheduling practices, overtime utilisation, and contract labour management. Provide oversight for procurement, utilisation, and inventory management of supplies and equipment across operations. Identify and implement opportunities for program growth and revenue generation. Maintain current clinical knowledge and ensure best practices are implemented across services. Ensure orientation, ongoing education, and competency‑based training programmes are in place for all staff. Provide guidance and oversight related to resident admissions processes and clinical appropriateness across communities. Collaborate and communicate effectively with executive leadership, Medical Directors, Consultant Pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams. Lead and facilitate system‑wide Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) and Safety Committee initiatives. Serve as Abuse Prevention Coordinator, ensuring compliance with all reporting and investigation requirements. Establish and enforce safety programmes and policies; identify, report, and resolve safety concerns. Oversee talent acquisition processes, ensuring adequate staffing levels of qualified personnel across services. Set clear expectations for leaders through defined goals, performance management, and ongoing feedback. Address and resolve resident and family concerns in a timely and professional manner. Maintain compliance with all required training, infection control practices, and organisational policies. Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings. Attends in‑service and education programmes. Other Duties During emergencies or natural disasters may be required to be on duty for the duration of the disaster. Additional duties, responsibilities, and activities to be completed as assigned. This is a travelling position and may need to live within a certain mile range of the assigned property. Job Requirements Active Illinois Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) License in good standing. Minimum of 3–5 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in healthcare operations, with preference for multi‑site or system‑level oversight. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Demonstrated experience working with geriatric populations across the continuum of care, including skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and/or senior living environments. Strong knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements (including IDPH, OBRA) and accreditation standards. Proven ability to lead teams, drive clinical and operational performance, and manage financial outcomes. Experience in staff development, workforce planning, and building high‑performing leadership teams. Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills, with the ability to influence across multiple levels of the organisation. Solid organisational skills including attention to detail, critical thinking, and multi‑tasking skills. Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with residents, families, and employees. Environmental and Physical Activity Requirements The physical activities of this position constantly require effective talking, hearing, sitting, walking, and standing functions. The position also often involves sedentary work where sitting is required most of the time, with occasional standing or walking. The position also often requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Must be able to perform activities with close visual acuity, such as reading a computer screen and reading print material. The functions of this position are conducted in a temperature‑controlled environment. OSHA Exposure Category: Category II Position includes tasks that involve some exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues; possible could be required to perform Category I tasks. Intellectual/Emotional Requirements The occupant of this position must be able to perform the responsibilities of the position well under pressure.
