Responsibilities
The adult critical care nurse service professional development practitioner is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nursing professional development practitioner to join the adult critical care nursing leadership team. Primary areas of focus will include, but are not limited to, new hire onboarding and orientation for experienced and new graduate nurses, development and review of annual competencies, annual required specialty education, participation in the development and delivery of ongoing in-service and educational needs for all staff. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high attention to detail and have excellent leadership, organizational, and planning skills. Through ongoing collaboration, this individual will work with stakeholders to assess, design, develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based educational programs and initiatives for the service. Utilizing the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses as guidance for conduct, the adult critical care nurse educator will represent and advocate for the needs of the service at practice-level meetings and function as the nursing contact hour planner for the service. Applicants must have a strong critical care clinical base as well as an interest in quality improvement and safety initiatives and should to be able to quickly adapt to changing priorities. This position requires outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Master's degree in nursing education and at least 5 years of critical care experience is preferred.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $41.00 - $57.40
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
