Adult Day Services Instructor Apply
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Adult Day Services Instructor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist in conducting and instructing individuals through various activities in a classroom setting, providing support to up to ten individuals with moderate behaviors. The ideal candidate will be DSP trained (preferred) and have the ability to engage individuals in meaningful and enjoyable activities. Additionally, applicants who have special skills or hobbies to share with the group will be considered a valuable asset.
Requirements
Conduct and assist in instructing individuals through a variety of planned activities, including educational, recreational, and social activities.
Provide support and guidance to individuals with moderate behaviors in a positive, respectful, and nurturing manner.
Transport individuals to and from the program, as well as during outings or community-based activities.
Assist in the development of individualized activity plans tailored to each participant’s interests and needs.
Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for the participants and the program.
Support up to 10 individuals at a time, ensuring their participation, safety, and engagement in all activities.
Communicate effectively with participants, staff, and families.
Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other staff members to ensure a person-centered approach.

PAY: $20/hour
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Ability to lift at least fifty (50) pounds on a routine basis to assist with individuals supported.
- Ability to bend, twist, lift, reach and assist individuals supported with their movements including their ability to stand up.
- Ability to assist with the mobility and support of individuals, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Must be able to transport individuals using program vehicles, including mini-buses.
