Job Opportunity At Pender Community HospitalUnder general supervision, provides primary healthcare and performs approved medical services under the direction of a physician in accordance with the philosophy, goals and objectives of Pender Community Hospital.Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:Performs health screening of patients within the scope of medical ability.Instructs and counsels patients regarding physical and mental health on matters such as diets, disease, therapy, normal growth and development.Maintains awareness of community services, agencies, resources and health facilities.Documents accurate and ongoing assessments of patient status that reflect nursing interventions, patient responses, patient teaching and status of outcomes at discharge.Communicates and collaborates effectively with other health team members regarding patient condition, nursing plan of care, patient satisfactions needs and recommendations for meeting identified outcomes.Promotes and ensures patient safety in performance of all responsibilities.Participate in activities to support quality patient care at all locations.Hours: Nighttime ER, Daytime ER (rotating weeks) and clinic coverage.Required Experience:Experience as a general Advanced Practice Provider in emergency room or primary care setting preferred.Effective knowledge and familiarity with word processing, computer navigation, and e-mail.Certificates, Licensure, Registrations:National certification and current license in state to practice as an Advanced Practice Provider.General Requirements:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.Ability to generate, read, interpret, and take action as it relates to basic financial statements, national and state regulations, safety rulings, operational and maintenance and organizational policies / procedures.Ability to write reports and correspondence.Ability to effectively present information to patients, families, employees, health care providers, etc...Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively to maintain good working relationships with staff and health care providers.Ability to work with skill in identifying problems.Equipment, Tools, Materials:Patient care equipment.Computer and printer.General office materials/equipment/supplies.Information systems.Telephone system.Keyword: APP, PA, Physician Assistant, NP-C, NP, Nurse Practitioner.
