Job Description
A well-established oncology practice in Western New York, approximately 90 minutes south of Buffalo, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its Specialty Services team. Under indirect supervision, the APP will provide comprehensive care to oncology patients in a specialty services setting. Responsibilities include performing physical exams, developing treatment plans, ordering diagnostics, and collaborating with the care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct medical evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning
Manage follow-up care and patient education
Document clinical findings and maintain accurate medical records
Coordinate with specialists and support staff
Participate in quality improvement and patient care initiatives
Maintain infection control and patient safety standards
Current New York State license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program
DEA license required
Eligible for hospital/practice privileges
Oncology experience preferred, but strong clinical background considered
