KIHOMAC is seeking an Aerospace Coater to join our team. Ideally this candidate will be available to cover flexible shifts, including 2nd and 3rd shifts.

  • Perform basic paint booth upkeep, to include filter replacement, etc.
  • Sign daily and monthly pre-use inspection sheets
  • Work with a variety of materials, such as aluminum, stainless steel, carbon fiber and fiberglass
  • Learn KIHOMAC practices and procedures for all specs as well as manufacturer guidelines on paints and materials
  • Use hand and power tools specific to paint booth
  • Work both independently and as part of a team
  • Follow written instructions precisely
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education/Training (both required and desired):

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s Degree in management or technical/scientific discipline desired 
  • Paint or Composites certification preferred

Experience:

  • 0+ years of professional experience in the required task area  
  • Composite layup experience preferred
  • Experience operating general shop tools such as: paint gun, mixing machines, paint booths, airhose lines, cleaner stations preferred
  • Desktop skills preferred

Security:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of standing and moving to accomplish workload
  • Must be able to regularly lift and move up to 30 pounds independently, up to 50 pounds with assistance
  • Must follow company safety rules and procedures including, but not limited to, PPE, emergency procedures, and lockout/tagout procedures
