Job Description
  • Execute and coordinate advanced design engineering tasks in support of the Structures Systems & Interiors Design team’s objectives, under the direction of the Design Engineering Supervisor and Manager.
  • Support the introduction of complex structural design changes into Production by collaborating closely with Manufacturing Engineering, ensuring alignment with program requirements and schedules.
  • Facilitate and lead high-level design reviews with customers, ensuring structural systems installations meet and exceed customer requirements; provide expert-level support to Project Engineers on critical proposals and new customer-driven design initiatives.
  • Represent the Structures Systems & Interiors Design Office in configuration board meetings and technical exchanges with Italian departments, maintaining consistency with configuration control and engineering standards.
  • Support the management of complex aircraft design modifications by serving as a key technical point of contact and facilitating communication among internal stakeholders—including Program Management, Supply Chain, and Structural Systems—under the guidance of the Design Engineering Supervisor and Manager.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve structural system challenges proactively, including ATP validation, and serve as a senior technical resource for resolving critical installation issues.
  • Lead assigned design activities such as initial layouts, drawing reviews, and coordination of design packages, ensuring technical quality and timely delivery.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in design processes, tools, and documentation; support efforts to enhance overall efficiency and quality within the engineering function.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on design best practices, while collaborating with the Design Engineering Supervisor and Manager on team development efforts

Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering environment, preferably aerospace.

Combination of education and/or experience which would permit performance of essential

duties and responsibilities. Salary negotiable.
