Summary:
-
Leads major engineering projects or conducts extensive research to support product development and production.
-
Resolves complex engineering issues using advanced methods and techniques.
-
Serves as a recognized authority, consulted by peers and colleagues.
-
Anticipates and creatively resolves complex problems, setting standards for engineering activities.

Balances technical, cost, and schedule considerations in problem-solving.
-
Works independently, with long-term objectives reviewed for overall results.

Makes authoritative decisions and recommendations on technical matters.

Stays current on industry developments to recommend innovations.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
-
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requires 10 years of experience in a specific technical discipline or 15 years of broad engineering experience with a bachelor's degree.

Advanced degrees may provide up to 2 years of credit for a master's and 4 years for a PhD.

Technical skills required for this role are defined by each discipline.
