Summary:
-
Responsible for ensuring the efficient build of high-quality aircraft, focusing on configuration control, planning, tooling, work sequencing, and designing efficient build methods.

Candidates should have a strong mechanical background in sheet metal (Structures) and aircraft production experience.

Support detail parts manufacturing and assembly operations within a manufacturing environment.
-
Develop documentation and procedures for compliance with customer and regulatory production requirements.
-
Create solutions for production problems related to materials, processes, and tooling.
-
Interpret engineering drawings to meet objectives; act as liaison between Design Engineering, Tooling, Quality, and Production.

Provide technical support for product design, quality improvements, cost, and other technical issues.
-
Plan and document installation processes, tooling, equipment, and quality control methods to optimize manufacturing.

Ensure tasks are performed and inspected per HACI standards.

Identify and resolve production and manufacturing issues.
-
Prepare and update planning documents, assist with BOM identification, and prepare tool orders.
Required Skills:
-
Bachelor's degree (Technical) plus 2 years of aviation experience.
-
Experience in Lean Manufacturing and 5S methodologies.
-
Process improvement and cost savings experience.
-
Strong analytical skills.
-
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/specifications.
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
-
Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
-
Organizational skills and ability to work in a diverse environment.

Familiarity with tools such as SAP, CAD CAM, CATIA, Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Lotus Notes).

Knowledge of aircraft assembly, sequencing, and manufacturing flow.

Understanding of sheet metal processes (e.g., Metal Forming, Bending, Laser Cutting, Shearing, Stamping, Stretch Forming, Waterjet Cutting, Basic Machining Operations).
Desired Skills:

Six Sigma training.

GD&T training.
-
Airframe & Powerplant license.

Experience with aircraft interiors.
