Summary:
-
Conduct visual inspections of solder and conformal coatings on circuit card assemblies, adhering to IPC-A-610 & IPC-J-STD-001 standards
-
Follow predetermined inspection methods, specifications, and checklists, using various measuring devices (e.g., dial indicators, micrometers, scales) to ensure compliance with industry standards and manufacturing specifications
Required Skills:
-
Minimum 2 years in solder/visual inspection, or 3 years in manufacturing/soldering of electronic assemblies if lacking formal inspection experience

Minimum 1 year experience with conformal coating application and inspection

Ability to conduct inspections using a microscope for precision

In-depth knowledge of IPC-A-610 & IPC-J-STD-001 standards for circuit card assemblies

Skill in interpreting technical drawings, diagrams, parts lists, and other inspection documents

Proficient in documentation processes for quality control and inspection
-
Strong verbal and written skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively and diplomatically across manufacturing levels to address quality concerns

Comfortable with personal computers for data entry, documentation, and quality tracking
Desired Skills:
-
1-2 years experience documenting inspection outcomes and maintaining revision control

Proficiency in IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD standards, with 2-4 years applied experience in these areas

1-2 years experience with measurement techniques and tools for quality control

Demonstrated skill in visual inspection, with a strong attention to detail and precision
