Summary:
-
Perform close tolerance drilling, reaming, removal, and installation in critical structural areas, including blind holes for new components.
-
Responsibilities also include sealing, painting, and preserving structures per standard repair processes.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, and specifications for structural modifications/repairs.

Use tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot-level structural modifications.

Troubleshoot and repair aircraft mechanical components; perform sheet metal and structural repairs.

Access and manage data using computer systems for work instructions and parts requests.

Operate aircraft-specific tools (e.g., torque wrenches, micrometers) and equipment (e.g., forklifts, cranes).

Provide guidance to lower-level technicians during aircraft maintenance/modification tasks.
Required Skills:
-
4+ years of on-aircraft heavy structures experience.
-
Experience with VIP or specialty aircraft interiors installations in the last 10 years.

Knowledge of aircraft repair procedures, structural modifications, and aircraft-specific tools.

Proficient with technical publications, schematics, and computer systems.

Ability to obtain customer approval for aircraft access (dual citizenship may preclude access).
Additional Requirements:
-
Able to work various shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Physically able to ascend/descend ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 35 lbs.

Use protective gear and pass visual acuity/color perception tests.

Ability to work on elevated platforms and balance on ladders.
Desired Skills:
-
FAA certification in Airframe and/or Powerplant license preferred.
