Summary:

• Perform close tolerance drilling, reaming, and installation/removal in critical structural areas, including blind holes for new components.

• Seal, paint, and preserve structures following standard repair processes.

• Interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, and specifications for structural repairs/modifications.

• Utilize tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot-level structural modifications.

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components and perform sheet metal and structural repairs.

• Access and manage data for work instructions and parts requests via computer systems.

• Operate aircraft-specific tools (e.g., torque wrenches, micrometers) and equipment (e.g., forklifts, cranes).

• Guide lower-level technicians during maintenance/modification tasks.

Required Skills:

• 4+ years of on-aircraft heavy structures experience.

• Recent experience with VIP or specialty aircraft interiors installations.

• Proficient in aircraft repair procedures, structural modifications, and technical publications.

• Familiarity with aircraft-specific tools and schematics.

• Ability to obtain customer approval for aircraft access (dual citizenship may restrict access).

• Physically capable of ascending ladders, working in confined spaces, and lifting up to 35 lbs.

• Comfortable working on elevated platforms and using protective gear.

• Must pass visual acuity and color perception tests.

Desired Skills:

• FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant certification preferred.
