Job Duties:
Job requires the operation of various tractors and farm equipment to till soil; work ground; prepare and maintain land; and plant, fertilize, spray, cultivate, harvest, and transport seed, fertilizer, chemical mixtures, and crops as needed; mowing; trimming; and moving snow at farm bin site. Equipment that workers may be required to operate includes, but is not limited to, tractors with various implements, air seeder, equipment that utilizes GPS and auto-guidance systems, sprayers, combines, back-hoes, mowers, and track-hoes. Non CDL farm trucks will be loaded with agricultural products and driven on the farm and to storage facilities. Manual duties include loading seed into planters; properly mixing chemicals; loading chemicals into sprayers; changing combine cutting heads; rouging fields and using hand tools to remove undesirable plant varieties, trash, and other objects from fields; transporting parts for servicing agricultural equipment; performing general maintenance, repairs and/or clean-up of storage sheds, buildings, and all farm equipment; ensuring operational areas are organized and well maintained; using hand tools and equipment to repair, clean and maintain farm vehicles, machinery and specialized machinery and agricultural equipment; regularly servicing equipment; and maintaining farm yard and grounds by mowing, weed eating and dragging roadways. Receiving crop for drying and storage at grain storage facility; disposing of spoiled grain; transporting grain from fields to grain bins; loading and unloading grain into trucks while keeping grain level; operating augers, vacuums and grain conveying equipment; monitoring grain moisture levels; preparing scale tickets; shoveling grain; and cleaning excess commodities from grain storage facilities. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.

Job requires having or being able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Basic English literacy and math skills are required. Random drug testing and criminal background checks may occur post-hire at the employer's expense. These checks may be performed to ensure safe housing and work environments for all workers. Failure of drug testing and unsatisfactory criminal background check may result in immediate termination. Employer will provide time for lunch and breaks during the workday.
