Encore Talent Solutions has an exclusive engagement with a large enterprise client to identify AI Software Developers (Python focus) on a 9-12 month contract with extensions Role will require FULL ONSITE work in the Detroit, MI metropolitan area. No hybrid and/or remote work will be considered. They would consider someone outside of the Detroit area if you can relocate This role will require the ability to work in a W2 format (free of any visa/sponsorship restrictions) NO C2C, 3RD PARTY, OR MARGIN SHARE REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED/VIEWED OR RESPONDED TO AT THIS TIME *THIS ROLE WILL REQUIRE AN ONLINE ASSESSMENT EXAM ISSUED BY THE END CLIENT SERVING AS THE INITIAL FIRST ROUND SCREENING. FAILURE TO COMPLETE WILL AUTOMATICALLY DECLINE THE CANDIDATE* About the Opportunity We are building a next-generation enterprise AI platform organization focused on developing autonomous AI agents, orchestration frameworks, and governance systems that will power large-scale enterprise workflows and experiences. This is not a traditional “AI app development” role or a pure machine learning position. Our team is focused on building the foundational engineering systems that enable secure, scalable, and governed AI agent ecosystems across the enterprise. You will help design and build enterprise‑grade AI platforms supporting autonomous agents, orchestration layers, API ecosystems, governance frameworks, and cloud‑native backend services. This opportunity is ideal for strong backend/software engineers who are excited about emerging AI technologies and want to apply modern engineering principles to enterprise AI systems. What You’ll Be Working On Our organization is focused on building: Enterprise AI agent platforms and orchestration systems AI governance, security, and control plane frameworks Agent development accelerators and reusable tooling Long-horizon autonomous agent workflows Cloud-native backend services and API ecosystems Enterprise integrations across platforms and workflows Scalable distributed systems supporting AI‑enabled applications This work sits at the intersection of: Enterprise software architecture AI governance and operational frameworks Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices architectures Build and integrate APIs supporting AI agents, orchestration systems, and enterprise workflows Develop cloud-native applications and distributed systems within enterprise platform environments Implement resilient service patterns including fault tolerance, circuit breakers, and service discovery Build orchestration logic and workflows supporting autonomous and multi‑agent systems Integrate LLMs and AI tooling into enterprise applications and workflows Collaborate with platform, security, cloud, and governance teams to ensure scalable and secure implementationsParticipate in CI/CD automation, deployment strategies, and production engineering best practices Contribute to reusable frameworks, accelerators, and internal engineering tooling Stay current with emerging AI frameworks, orchestration ecosystems, and enterprise AI technologies Required Qualifications Strong backend software engineering experience in enterprise environments Hands‑on experience with Python and/or TypeScript Deep understanding of: API design and integration Distributed systems concepts Service resiliency and fault tolerance Experience building and deploying cloud-native applications Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices Strong understanding of scalable system design and engineering best practices Experience working in Agile engineering environments Preferred Qualifications Exposure to AI/LLM technologies through professional work, personal projects, open‑source contributions, or experimentation Experience with: OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar AI platforms Agent frameworks and orchestration tooling MCP servers/tooling Multi‑agent systems Familiarity with AWS services such as: Lambda API Gateway Bedrock Container platforms Terraform Experience building applications within enterprise cloud environments What We’re Looking For We are prioritizing strong engineering fundamentals over deep AI research backgrounds. The ideal candidate is a seasoned backend engineer with experience building scalable, production‑grade systems who is excited to work in the rapidly evolving AI platform space.
