AI/ML Engineer

AI/ML Engineer Exclusive opening for an AI/ML Engineer with The Vanguard Group, Inc. in Malvern, PA. This is a long-term contract, likely multi-year. The pay rate is $58/hr on W2 without benefits, and the bill rate is $80. The candidate will work in Malvern, PA as the first choice, with Charlotte, NC and Dallas, TX as second and third choices respectively. Three days on-site work is required in one of these locations. The interview process includes an Apex Systems technical screening and a video call with the client team. Core responsibilities include agentic AI & MCP integration, generative AI development, AWS ML engineering, security & identity, governance, and collaboration. Responsibilities also cover designing, developing, and optimizing complex data pipelines, developing MLOps pipelines, integrating and maintaining data and model pipelines, collaborating with data scientists, conducting exploratory data analysis, tracking data lineage, partnering with internal stakeholders, developing model monitoring scripts, acting as a subject matter expert, and staying current with AI/ML advancements. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, 6+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, data engineering, and MLOps implementation, proficiency in Python, experience with AWS Machine Learning Stack, knowledge of Generative AI model development, experience with agentic frameworks and Model Context Protocol, familiarity with React UI, GraphDB, and GenAI model performance evaluation, experience with CI/CD, containerization, and orchestration tools, solid grasp of software engineering principles, familiarity with the Machine Learning Development Lifecycle, strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to anticipate ambiguity and devise scalable solutions.
