Candidates must be local to In and around Reston, VA or Dallas, TX Job Summary We are seeking a skilled AI/ML Python Developer to join a Concept Team focused on rapidly prototyping and operationalizing new applications using cutting-edge technologies. This role supports the Capital Markets Tech Debt Acceleration Project, which aims to modernize core systems, enhance security, and improve operational resilience. The ideal candidate will have strong Python development experience, proficiency in data analysis and machine learning libraries, and familiarity with AWS services. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain Python-based applications and scripts for data analysis and machine learning. Utilize libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Seaborn, and Matplotlib for data processing and visualization. Implement machine learning models using packages like scikit-learn, XGBoost, Keras, and TensorFlow. Build and consume HTTP-based APIs using FastAPI or Flask. Manage source code using GIT-based repositories. Package Python applications using pip, setup.py, and pyproject.toml. Integrate with AWS services including ECS, Lambda, S3, SQS, and SNS. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support subprojects such as Autosys Migration, Vulnerability Management, Java Upgrade Framework, and Resiliency Test Automation. Participate in code reviews and explain complex Python code to technical stakeholders. Contribute to the development of secure, scalable, and resilient systems. Required Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of Python development experience (candidates with less experience may be considered if they have a strong portfolio). Demonstrable experience with data analysis libraries: Python, NumPy, Seaborn, Matplotlib. Proficiency in at least two ML libraries: scikit-learn, XGBoost, Keras, TensorFlow. Experience with GIT-based source control systems. Ability to explain and walk through non-trivial Python code. Hands-on experience with AWS services: ECS, Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS. Experience with building APIs using FastAPI or Flask. Familiarity with HTTP service integration using the requests library. Strong understanding of Python packaging and dependency management. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to MCP (Managed Cloud Platform). Familiarity with LangChain or similar frameworks. Experience in financial services or capital markets environments.
