JOB TITLE: Aircraft Assembly Technician - OVERHEAD CRANE EXPERIENCE
LOCATION: Kinston, NC
PAY RATE: $34.00 per hour

12-month contract with opportunities for extension

Pay and per diem offered ($110/week for those who qualify).

Must be able to work any assigned shift and overtime/weekends as needed.

Summary:
- The Company will provide necessary job training to enable employees to perform the following tasks:
-
Work with blueprints, specifications, and work orders to assemble and install parts to meet quality requirements.
-
Complete data transactions to support assembly progression.
-
Set up and perform manual and automated assembly operations.
-
Perform rework, functional testing, and incorporate changes during or after final assembly.
-
Move and obtain parts, materials, and tools as needed.
-
Use precision measuring instruments for work assignments.
-
Report job-related issues like errors in parts or procedures.
-
Perform basic machine maintenance, such as changing filters or light bulbs and maintaining lubrication levels.
-
Move products within the work area and complete necessary transactions to advance the assembly process.
-
Support product flow by training and assisting team members.
-
Document discrepancies according to procedures.
-
Cross-train in inspection and become SIA qualified.
-
Employees may be required to complete other duties as assigned by leadership, with provided training and certification.
Required Skills:
-
Overhead crane experience required (candidates without this will not be considered).
-
Local candidates strongly preferred.
-
Ability to stand for the entire 8-hour shift.
-
Verify dimensions of parts using mechanical and electronic tools, documenting corrective actions for issues.

Proficient in the following Assembly Technician functions:

Drilling
-
Sealing
-
Fastener insertion
-
Varnishing
-
Painting
-
Countersinking
-
Sub-assembly
-
Structural assembly/installation.
