JOB TITLE: Final Line Mechanic I

LOCATION: Savannah, GA

PAY RATE: $25.65 per hour

Qualifying Questions:

Details:

  • 12-month contract with opportunities for extension

  • 1st shift

Summary:

  • Install parts, components, lines, and cables in assigned areas using the necessary tools, prints, specs, and operational requirements to complete tasks through final inspection, ensuring conformance to specifications.

  • Assemble, install, and adjust aircraft structural parts and system components.

  • Rig control cables, sectors, linkages, control surfaces, landing gear, doors, engines, cowls, and aircraft entry doors.

  • Perform basic repairs, removing/replacing components, cutting/fitting system lines, and hardware.

  • Ensure the quality and efficiency of all installations and rework as needed for conformity.

  • Install system lines, valves, ducts, and hardware to ensure leak-free systems.

  • Use tools such as permaswage pumps, line-cutting tools, wrenches, gauges, and others to complete minor structural installations.

  • Check all work for defects before final inspection and update necessary logs/records.

  • Maintain a neat workspace, supporting FOD and 5S programs, and comply with safety regulations.

  • Demonstrate manufacturing competencies during employee reviews.

  • Maintain logs/records like MIR sheets, DMTs, and PCOs.

  • Support continuous improvement processes.

  • Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 1 year of aerospace/aviation experience or equivalent mechanical experience (e.g., auto mechanics, heavy equipment).

  • A&P license may offset the one year of experience required.

  • Experience with Solumina and SmarTeam preferred.

  • Ability to read/interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.

  • Capable of basic tasks such as drilling, reaming, and ship fitting parts.

  • Must be able to climb ladders, work in confined areas, and lift up to 50 lbs.
