Summary:
-
Install parts, components, lines, and cables in assigned areas using the necessary tools, prints, specs, and operational requirements to complete tasks through final inspection, ensuring conformance to specifications.

Assemble, install, and adjust aircraft structural parts and system components.

Rig control cables, sectors, linkages, control surfaces, landing gear, doors, engines, cowls, and aircraft entry doors.

Perform basic repairs, removing/replacing components, cutting/fitting system lines, and hardware.

Ensure the quality and efficiency of all installations and rework as needed for conformity.

Install system lines, valves, ducts, and hardware to ensure leak-free systems.

Use tools such as permaswage pumps, line-cutting tools, wrenches, gauges, and others to complete minor structural installations.

Check all work for defects before final inspection and update necessary logs/records.

Maintain a neat workspace, supporting FOD and 5S programs, and comply with safety regulations.

Demonstrate manufacturing competencies during employee reviews.

Maintain logs/records like MIR sheets, DMTs, and PCOs.

Support continuous improvement processes.

Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
-
High School Diploma or GED required.
-
1 year of aerospace/aviation experience or equivalent mechanical experience (e.g., auto mechanics, heavy equipment).

A&P license may offset the one year of experience required.

Experience with Solumina and SmarTeam preferred.

Ability to read/interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.

Capable of basic tasks such as drilling, reaming, and ship fitting parts.

Must be able to climb ladders, work in confined areas, and lift up to 50 lbs.
