Summary:
-
Works under general supervision to remove, install, and/or fabricate aircraft interiors, including trim, carpet, soundproofing, light structures, cabinetry, panels, and other accessories.
-
All work must comply with company design specifications and quality standards to meet customer expectations.

Safely perform the removal, installation, and fabrication of aircraft interiors, including galleys, closets, lavatories, side ledges, bulkheads, doors, and panels.

Coordinate with supervision and inspection to ensure compliance with Repair Station procedures, FAA paperwork, sign-offs, and quality specifications.

Use the material tracking system to create parts demands, track issues, and sign off on completed work.

Follow standard operating procedures while using tools and equipment such as hand tools, band saws, shears, sanders, and brakes.

Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools.

Prepare and install aircraft interior items according to company operational procedures and quality standards.

Remove and re-install nut plates, inserts, and other fasteners used in aircraft interiors.

Apply proper hardware and fittings during aircraft installations.

Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies, using personal protective equipment as required.

Address unsafe conditions proactively to prevent risk to people or property.

Assist technicians, under supervision, with aircraft maintenance requirements.

Adapt to sudden schedule changes.

Collaborate with lead and skilled technicians to develop and implement process improvements that reduce costs, cycle time, and man-hours using Lean Six Sigma and other techniques.

Create and use simple patterns employing standardized procedures.

Participate in aircraft certification and final phase testing, which may include flight tests as required.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
-
Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
-
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
-
Skilled in using hand and power tools associated with the installation and removal of interiors.
-
Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift.

Must be computer literate.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
