Job Description: ACT1 provides program management support services to Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) programs at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst. This position assists the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) program stand up depot level repair capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Leading EMALS/AAG depot level repair assessment of needs
- Evaluating current repair capabilities
- Determining equipment and facilities that will be required to establish depot level repair capabilities and the required timeline
- Developing options for establishing depot repair capabilities for various EMALS/AAG subsystems and support equipment
- Assisting with identifying the necessary budget/resources for infrastructure, equipment, personnel, and training required for depot standup
- Assisting with the Depot Source of Repair Assignment Determination process
- Assisting the program team in developing contract requirements and evaluating proposals
- Participating in site reviews, provisioning conferences, and program management reviews as required
- Collecting, analyzing, and managing program management data
- Providing support for the preparation, coordination, and evaluation of program management reviews
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
- Substitution of Education: An additional five years of relevant Program Management analytical experience may be substituted for the degree requirement
- DoD Secret Clearance
- Experience working on Acquisition Category (ACAT) programs, Abbreviated Acquisition Programs (AAPs), or programs of comparable size and complexity, and establishing depot level repair capabilities
- Possess senior level Program Management skills relating to task, schedule and people
- Minimum of twelve years of experience managing complex multi-disciplined programs, with a minimum of five years of experience in Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) or Support Equipment (SE), with knowledge of the land based and ship environments in which these systems will operate
- Be able to effectively operate with Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) policies and processes, with an understanding of how to effectively work within the constraints of NAVAIR financial, staffing, and contracting systems
