Title: AOG Mechanic (Avionics Tech with A&P License) Location: Miami FL, or Anchorage, AL,Additional benefits: 5-10 hours of overtime offered at 1.5x salary.Must haves: 5-10 years of experience with 737, 747, 767 and 777 Aircrafts. Heavy Avionics experience required. Must have a valid A&P license. Background with Avionics is a must have:Job DescriptionThis role can be based in Anchorage (ANC), OR Miami (MIA). Candidates must be local to one of these areas or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance may be provided.Inspect, modify and repair aircraft at the maintenance base and remote locations. Troubleshoots technical discrepancies and executes repairs of company aircraft. Provides guidance to the entry level mechanics/on site contract mechanics on basic tasks and troubleshooting. Proficient in the use of electronic test equipment, voltage/amperage measuring, recording devices and navigation of troubleshooting equipment.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot technical discrepancies and execute repair of company aircraftAccomplish aircraft inspections per company proceduresProficient in use of electronic test equipment, voltage or amperage measuring, recording devices and navigation troubleshooting equipmentAbility to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics and technical ordersInspect and assist in maintenance of company equipment and toolingWork as a member of a team that will interface with contract maintenance personnelFollow safety measures, good shop practices and cleanliness standardsCommunicate discrepancies to Maintenance Control department found during inspections and follow directions to troubleshoot and repair faulty conditionsEnsure that all aircraft documentation is completed accurately per company and FAA procedures prior to aircraft departureProviding guidance to mechanics on advanced tasksOrganize daily tasks and coordinate inspections/repair of aircraftCoordinate materials and tooling requirements for projected work for entire shiftPerform Manual and Aircraft parts inventories as requiredAssist other company departments to ensure on-time departure of company aircraftAdditional duties assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentMinimum 7+ years of transport category aircraft maintenance experience (Boeing series aircraft – preferred) 737,777 747-400, 747-800 Gen Fam with RII authorizationUnrestricted engine run qualifications on 737, 777 and 747 aircraftFormal training on advanced systems/avionics on 737, 777, 747 aircraftQualifications continued:Must possess valid passport and be able to travel for AOG recovery and special projects regularlyBore scope qualified on CFM, Pratt Whitney or GE-90 enginesValid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant CertificateSkills:Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English languageStrong analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft software and in use of digital manualsStrong work ethic and organizational skillsMust be able to work in variable weather conditionsAbility to lift parts and equipmentAble to work rotating schedules to include weekends, nights and holidays
