Summary:
-
Perform various structural assembly tasks using appropriate tools, blueprints, specifications, and operational requirements.
-
Ensure all work conforms to specifications and assist other team members as needed.
-
Perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures, including drilling and riveting operations, ensuring parts meet requirements.
-
Transition to new tasks with minimal impact on established goals and schedules.
-
Rivet structural assemblies using portable riveting guns, pneumatic drills, countersinks, and other required tools.
-
Remove fasteners without causing damage to structures.
-
Follow work orders, blueprints, and sketches to determine the sequence of operations and rivet patterns.

Inspect all work to ensure a defect-free assembly prior to final inspection.

Guide and assist team members in interpreting blueprints, engineering orders, and resolving production difficulties.

Maintain accurate logs and records (e.g., MIR sheets, DMTs, PCOs).

Align and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures, and fasteners.

Make repairs based on Discrepant Material Tags (DMT), Material Review Requests (MRR), and Production Change Orders (PCO).

Maintain a clean work area, supporting the company's 5S and Lean Initiative Programs.

Work independently with minimal supervision and assist in instructing team members.

Support Lean activities and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
-
High School Diploma or GED required.
-
3 years of related structural assembly experience.
-
Basic computer skills.
-
Ability to read a scale and perform basic shop math.
-
Must be skilled in close tolerance work and using specialized tools.
-
Ability to read blueprints and solve dimensional problems using fractions and decimals.
-
Must demonstrate strong hands-on craftsmanship, attention to detail, and professionalism.
-
Adhere to safety regulations and good housekeeping practices.
-
Ability to work with composite resins and materials.
-
Must be able to work any shift.
-
Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in small or restricted areas.
Desired Skills:
-
Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.
-
Q-stamp preferred.
