Summary:
-
Perform complex assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems using manual or automated tools
-
Use a computer to access and comprehend technical work instructions, drawings, and specifications
-
Install aircraft components (e.g., landing gear, control surfaces, panels, galleys, seats, and aircraft systems such as tubing, valves, and compressors)
-
Operate mechanical lifts (e.g., ladders, snorkel lifts) and use hand tools (e.g., rivet gun, power screwdriver, ratchet wrench)
-
Apply chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, adhesives, and paints
-
Inspect work for quality and check for FOD (Foreign Object Debris)
-
Use vibratory tools (e.g., bucking/riveting)
-
Climb, crouch, crawl, kneel, bend, and perform other physical tasks
-
Work with energized sources (electrical equipment) and in noisy environments
-
Adhere to safety and compliance standards
-
Lift/carry up to 35 pounds
-
Demonstrate strong hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in various physical positions
Required Skills:
-
1+ year of experience following detailed work instructions and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications
-
Ability to work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd)
-
7+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing
-
7+ years of experience with aerospace systems, including hydraulics, ICS, PECS, duct installation, IFE, and waste/potable water systems
-
Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
-
Strong communication, work ethic, and sense of urgency in completing tasks
Desired Skills:
-
10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
-
Management is seeking candidates with aviation experience or completed aviation degrees
